Skamania Lodge

Cameron suprised Aiden and I with a night at Skamania Lodge on Friday night. The last time we were there was about 3 weeks before Aiden was born, so it was great to go back with him this time. We got dressed up for dinner Friday night, then spent the rest of the night totally relaxing in the room. We had a wonderful time together.

I know I look totally goofy in these 2 pictures I was trying to be silly to get Aiden to smile. They turned out so cute of him that I had to post them.

Aiden was fascinated with this type of phone
"hello...am i doing this right?"

Snowing in March...WTF!!!

We woke up to snow today...so crazy! I was afraid it would stop so I rushed Aiden out in his PJ's so he could atleast touch it. I am so over this weather and SO jealous of anyone who is headed to a sunny place for spring break!

We are calling it "super hero dress up"!!!

It is official:
Aiden really likes to play dress-up. Of course we call it "super hero dress-up" when Daddy is around. Today we went with the penny again (which he handed me while doing the sign for please) but we added this ninja head band (AKA mom's floral hair band turned inside out). He wore them both around for quite a while. He also thought is was hysterical when I would put the head band on. We spend so much of our day laughing together...who knew staying home could be so much fun! Man, I love my life :)

The sun was coming through window in the hall and it made the picture super dark. I had to lighten it up so you could see it because the expression was so cute. I didn't do a very good job, but it works!

Making the band

As many of you know, Aiden LOVES LOVES LOVES music. Not only does he love to listen to it, but he also loves to "make" it. We spend about 30 minutes each day playing with his instruments (one of his favorites is his harmonica from Grammy and Poppy). Here are some pictures from our "jam" session today.
PS Check out the super cool hair....I don't know what was going on there :)

Apparently Pennies are cooler than I had originally thought...

Cameron has a set of pennies that he uses for Emma's soccer team when they do scrimmages. I washed them today and Aiden was helping me fold them. He somehow slipped one over his head so I helped him put it the rest of the way on. He thought he was SO COOL wearing this bright orange penny. Apparently they are cooler than I thought :). He kept looking down at it, patting his tummy, and strutting around with the biggest smile on his face...it was absolutely adorable. He wore the silly thing around for about an hour and of course I had to capture the moment.

Not sunny, but not raining...so we headed to the park

Since Grammy and Poppy are out of town I promised them I would try to post pictures on a daily basis. We will see how it goes, but for today, I kept my promise. Here are a few pictures of Aiden at the park today.

Check out the buddha belly!

Easter

You will never believe it, but my camera battery died the minute we got to my in-law's house for Easter. I was running around like a madwoman this morning trying to get everything ready for the day and charging the camera battery was overlooked...oops! So, I have NO pictures of Easter day (and Aiden even wore is very first tie)....bad mommy! I did ask my sister in laws if they would email their pictures, so hopefully we will have atleast a few photos. Since I had no camera I took a ton of video. Here is a cute video of Aiden with his Papa Soccer (Cameron's Dad) playing the piano.

Early Easter with Grammy and Poppy

Since Grammy and Poppy were leaving for California on Sunday, we decided to celebrate Easter with them a day early. Well, in true "grammy fashion" they spoiled the kids. Grammy put together 3 awesome baskets that were overflowing with goodies and Poppy hid about 50 eggs for the hunt. We had a such a great time. Now I just have to figure out what I am going to do without Mom and Dad for the next 2 weeks while they are gone :(

...and they are off!

"oh my gosh...is that an egg!"
"yea...I found one!"
