Tick or Teet!!!

Okay, so I am so behind on my blogging that every time I sit down to catch up I get discouraged by the amount of time it will take and I decide I will do it later (world's biggest procrastinator). However, I couldn't stand the thought of not sharing our Halloween pics with you all, so I decided I would post these and catch up later.
We had a great night trick or treating around Grammy and Poppy's neighborhood and they took turns coming with us. Uncle Aaron (Unkie Doh Doh's as Aiden calls him) got to come to a few houses too. Aiden was so brave and had so much fun...of course, having his big sissy there made all the difference. He was a little apprehensive at first, but at the end of the night he would walk to the door and say, "tick or teet". The funniest was when the people would say "pick your own"....Emma would pick quickly and Aiden would say,
"ummmmmmmmmmmmm" and pick up and inspect about 4 different pieces before finding the one he wanted....picky little blue monster!!! We ended the night by going to cousin Andrew's Halloween birthday party! It was a perfect Halloween.

Our Lil' Blue Monster (Boo Monter as Aiden says)
Our sweet witch (this is the first time in 5 years that Emma hasn't been a cat). By the way this is the witch costume that my Mom made and Kara and I both wore. Emma thought that was very neat.
Aiden more interested in Sissy's reflective light than the camera.

I had to get a pic of the tale...hee hee
The first house...look at that brave little monster!Grammy and her sugar monsterUnkie Doh Doh's and the kiddos Aiden thought it was so cool to be outside in the dark

20 Months Old

I truly can't believe that my sweet boy is 20 months old. It seems like just yesterday I was holding him for the first time. He is truly an amazing little boy in so many ways and he brings hundreds of smiles to my face each day. It seems like if I am not beaming with pride I am laughing hysterically at something he says or does (sometimes I have to hide my laughter in an attempt to discourage the behavior...he can be quite a stinker when he wants to). For those of you who don't get to see him on a regular basis I will give you a few updates on our sweet boy!!!
-He still loves music and dances ALL the time. He dances when he is happy and whenever he eats something he likes he does what we like to call, "the yummy dance". He asks for my cell phone all the time so he can play the different ringtones. He will play them over and over again and just groove. He also loves Katelynne's song "I got a feelin" and sings it at the top of his lungs. He also loves to sing, "Mr Moon", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Love you Forever", and "ABC's". If there is music on...our boy is smiling and groovin'.
-He talks amazingly well, and he impresses people wherever we go with his language skills. Also, he has this cute little way that he raises his voice about 5 octaves when he is asking for something...it is hysterical. He has been talking in sentences for about 5 months, and I am shocked all the time at the things that he comes up with. When we went in for his last Dr's appt and he dazzled the Dr by saying, "Bye Bye Dr Mason, see you soon!". Along with amazing us with his sentences he totally humors us with some of the things that he picks up. Lately he has been saying, "oh cute" whenever he sees anything pink for baby Bella. Today during lunch I got food on my shirt and Aiden said, "OH MY GOSH...momma food on shirt, yuk!" It was the "oh my gosh" that got me...it just sounds so funny coming from him.
-He loves books and I bet we read 30 books a day. He even knows some of them so well that he will read them to himself. It is so cute because he knows what to say at each page and he even does the same voices we do when we read them to him.
-He is a total daredevil and tries to jump off of everything he can climb on (this one scares me a little) He also spends a good part of the day just hopping around the house.
-He doesn't really throw fits yet, but whenever we have to leave ANYTHING, he does this little fake cry, pouts out his bottom lip, and says the saddest goodbye possible. The funniest part is that he doesn't just say goodbye to the object, he says goodbye to the action. For instance, "bye bye jumping on bed...see you soon"!
-He is so smart and already knows how to count to 15, he can identify all of his colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black, and white), and shapes (circle, triangle, square, heart, star, and moon). One of his favorite activities is when we sit down with our color crayons and draw shapes.
-One of my favorite things about my sweet 20 month old boy is that he is the happiest most loving little boy in the world. He is always smiling and giving hugs. He brings more joy to my life than I ever thought possible.

Bedtime Stories

Aiden LOVES books and he won't go to sleep without a few stories. He picks the same stories almost every night "Goodnight Moon", "Love you Forever", and "Binkie". Aiden knows these stories so well that sometimes he even reads them to himself (it is truly the cutest thing I have ever seen). Everynight he decides who reads each story, and whenever sissy is an option she gets choosen. Even when I don't get choosen to read I still sit in on the stories and tonight I decided to snap a few pics.
