My Mom
Amazing! Yes, if I had to describe my Mom in one word that would be it...amazing! I believe that most of you who read my blog are blessed enough to know my mom. She is a strong woman, a compassionate human being, and an unwavering friend. She is truly loved and admired by so many people. She has touched many lives as a woman and friend, but there are only three of us who are lucky enough to truly know her as a mom. Only three of us that have felt her overpowering love and protection from the day we were conceived. Even now as a grown woman (taller than her) she is still able to wrap her arms around me and hold me completely...there is no other feeling like it. Since becoming a mom myself, my admiration for her and my understanding of her has grown so much. I now understand why she took the job so seriously and said "I am a mom" with such pride. I believe I am also just now starting to truly understand the strength inside her...the strength I hope I have. I am a very lucky woman to have her as a friend, and an even luckier daughter to have her as my Mom.Happy Mother's Day, Mom...you truly are my hero!
Mother's Day
I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! On Friday night my sweet Emma and I went had our second annual Mother's Day mani/pedis...her treat (with dad's help of course)! We had so much fun relaxing, laughing, and chatting. It was really special to get some one on one time with her. We spent most of Saturday on the set of KK's video and had a great time watching her. This morning Cam, the babies. and I went out to an awesome brunch at The Kennedy School. We took a nice walk after that then headed home for a nap. While I slept in between my two precious babies my wonderful husband cleaned the whole house (thanks, babe). In the afternoon KK stopped by to give me the journal she made for me and a big mother's day hug. We did a little shopping for our trip, then had a short visit from My dad and brother. It was truly a perfect day.
Super Star
We spent all day Saturday on the set of KK's music video. It was so fun to watch them filming her...she worked her buns off and was amazing. We got tons of pics and videos, but don't want to post to much before the video comes out, so I will just post these for now. Way to go, KK...we are so proud of you!
Little Sicky
Aiden had a pretty bad cold this week and was just not himself. However, getting a two year old to "take it easy" is no simple task so I let him watch a movie in his tent for some down time. I went in to check on him about 10 minutes in to the movie and found him like this...poor punkin boy!
So angelic (aside from the dried snot on his face)
The Lilac Gardens
Kara came into town last weekend since my Mom was going to be in Hawaii for Mother's Day. While she was here we went to the lilac gardens. My Great Aunt Hulda Klager started the gardens, so it is special to be able to take my children there. Aside from a few sprinkles we had a great time.
I look like I am in pain for a reason...I had my wisdom teeth pulled 3 days prior, ouch!
